INTRACO Cologne stands for International Trade and Contracting from our Cologne office.

Klaus Gerhardt`s first Government order - almost fourty years ago - was a ten foot container with refrigerators and air conditioning equipment for a project in Lagos, Nigeria. Intraco Cologne was found as an export service company, supplying clients worldwide with a wide variety of required goods and materials and has developed into an experienced Government procurement service with a trained and dedicated staff for sourcing, bid comparison, order processing, logistics - and a reputation for a reliable, timely and cost effective service.

In our efforts to simplify procurement actions, Intraco Cologne tries to cope with the individual and complex requirements of requisitioning agencies by finding the optimum solution through recognizing all relevant factors such as item functionality, design, service, regulations, fiscal matters, timely shipping, and much more. In order to make it even easier to place a purchase order with us, Intraco Cologne also accepts payment by (Government) credit cards and in EURO or U.S.Dollars.

Klaus Gerhardt`s Intraco office is located in Cologne and is our customer`s contact for product and price inquiries as well as for order administration. Also "made in Cologne": the negotiation and maintenance of Intraco`s GSA-contracts, regular fax/eMail communication of price update information to our customers, and the preparation/administration of this website. The Cologne office is supervised by Klaus Gerhardt, who is well acquainted with the challenges and demands of Government procurement. This experience stems from his engagement as Purchasing Agent and Deputy Procurement Supervisor with the Regional Procurement and Support Office at Amembassy Bonn/Germany for almost a decade during the initial establishment of RPSO. During that time, Klaus also initiated and compiled the first RPSO Spot Purchase Catalogs and received credits from DOS, DAO and other Departments/Offices for his contributions and support towards the acquisition of equipment and supplies.

The Intraco Cologne office is also our customer`s contact for order status, shipping and payment matters. The complex order process of every single purchase action - from our order confirmation until the arrival of goods at post - is well coordinated and organized in a timely manner by our staff. The Intraco Cologne office also negotiates all the companies price/delivery agreements with Intraco`s U.S. and other Government customers (such as Army and Air Force Regional Contracting Offices, State Department, NATO, and others) and we also arrange for contracts with our manufacturer`s and suppliers for requested products.

Intraco is proud to have shipped thousands of orders to worldwide destinations. Most items were standard commercial equipment or supplies - such as 220V/50C major electrical household appliances, document shredders and office furniture. During the past fourty years we have shipped more than 3200 units of our DOD-approved cross-cut shredder model Intimus 007se under GSA-contract GS25F-0013J to U.S. Government agencies.
